Fairways Community Guidelines
How we keep Fairways a good place, in plain English.
Effective June 3, 2026
Fairways is for golfers who care about where they play. It works because the ratings and notes are honest and the community is decent to each other. These guidelines keep it that way. They apply to everything you post: profiles, photos, ratings, and notes.
What we encourage
- Honest takes on courses, even unpopular ones.
- Real photos from rounds you've actually played.
- Helpful notes that tell other golfers what to expect.
- Building out your list and following golfers whose taste you trust.
What's not allowed
- Harassment, bullying, or targeting other golfers.
- Spam, advertising, or links to scams.
- Fake accounts or impersonating someone else.
- Posting photos or content you don't have the right to share.
- Anything illegal, sexually explicit, or hateful.
There is zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users.
How we enforce this
Every photo, profile, and note can be reported from inside the app. You can also block any user, which removes their content from your feeds, search, and course pages right away.
When something is reported, we review it and act within 24 hours: we remove content that breaks these guidelines and remove the people who post it. Serious or repeat violations mean a permanent ban.
How to report or block
- Report: tap the menu on any photo, profile, or note and choose Report.
- Block: open a profile, tap the menu, and choose Block.
